GTRE GTX-35VS Kaveri : ウィキペディア英語版 | GTRE GTX-35VS Kaveri
The GTRE GTX-35VS Kaveri ((サンスクリット:कावेरी)) is an afterburning turbofan project developed by the Gas Turbine Research Establishment (GTRE), a lab under the DRDO in Bangalore, India. An Indian design, the Kaveri was originally intended to power production models of the HAL Tejas fighter, also known as the Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) being built by the Aeronautical Development Agency. However, the Kaveri programme failed to satisfy the necessary technical requirements or keep up with its envisaged timelines and was officially delinked from the Tejas programme in September 2008. The Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) decided to wind up the Kaveri engine (GTX-35VS ) programme in November 2014 due to its shortcomings(Decision will be finalized by DAC) . GTRE is now running two separate successor engine programmes, the K9+ programme and the K10 programme. According to one india. DRDO has officially abandoned the engine, signaling an end of equipping its own fighter jet with a home-grown power plant.〔http://www.oneindia.com/bengaluru/oneindia-exclusive-drdo-to-abandon-kaveri-project-gtre-gets-revival-package-1565505.html〕 ==History==
